YouHe mentioned your team's growing and you're rethinking how reps prep for calls. We solved that for him, and he thought it'd land for you too. Did he catch it right?
ProspectRoughly, yeah — prep is inconsistent across the team.

Make it land

  • Say the referrer's name and context in the first breath — that's the whole advantage.
  • Ask 'did he catch it right?' to confirm the pain in their own words.
  • Never overstate the relationship; 'suggested I reach out' beats 'told me to call you'.
  • cc the referrer on the invite so the trust loop stays intact.

If they push back

'I don't really know Marco well.' — 'Fair — then judge it on its own. The reason he thought of you is the prep problem; is that real for your team?'
