Cold call script to re-engage a no-show
A no-show is usually chaos, not rejection. Stay light, assume the best, and make rebooking effortless.
The script
A prospect booked a meeting and didn't join; you call to rebook without friction.
YouHi Marco, it's Anna from [your company] — we had 3pm yesterday and life clearly got in the way. No drama at all, I just wanted to grab a new time. Good moment?
ProspectAh, sorry about that — back-to-back day, it slipped.
YouHonestly happens to everyone. It's still a 20-minute look at cutting your call-prep time — is that still worth it, or has the priority shifted?
ProspectNo, still relevant, I just dropped the ball.
YouAll good. Let's pick a slot you'll actually protect — early morning before the day runs away, or end of day? I'll send one invite, no back-and-forth.
ProspectEarly morning's safer for me. Friday 8:30?
YouFriday 8:30 it is — I'll add a reminder the day before so it survives your calendar.
ProspectPerfect, thanks for being cool about it.
Make it land
- Assume good faith — 'life got in the way' beats any hint of blame.
- Reconfirm the topic still matters before rebooking; don't rebook a dead priority.
- Offer a time they're more likely to protect (early morning), not just any slot.
- Add a reminder the day before; the no-show already showed reminders help.
If they push back
'Maybe just send info instead.' — 'I can, but the whole point was 20 minutes on your setup. Give me one early slot; if it's not useful you close the tab.'
How Tepio helps you run it
Tepio marks no-shows and prompts the rebook automatically, so a missed slot doesn't quietly become a lost lead.
