Make it land
- Frame it as care and prevention, never as filling the appointment book.
- Remove friction — book the slot live during the call, don't ask them to call back.
- Offer after-work times; lapsed patients usually lapsed over scheduling.
- Promise a reminder; the no-show risk is exactly why they fell behind.
If they push back
'I'll call back to book later.' — 'Of course — but people rarely do, and then it's another year. Let me hold Thursday 5:30 now; you can always move it.'
